Fun in the Sun

Bathing beauties....

We had wonderful warm weather this last week and over the weekend. Toni and I took the girls to the beach at low tide. Nana and Mr. Pete came along too. It was so nice because at low tide there are sand bars. That way the girls can play in the sand and not just on the rocks. They had so much fun! Carmen caught a little bullhead fish and a couple of crabs. Gilli had quite a few less than lively crabs too. I grew up on the beach and the rivers with alot of sand. So, for me it is nice to live in a place that I can take Carmen to the beach and have some of the same kind of fun I did growing up. Of course it isn't quite as warm and the water is a little cooler but, she doesn't care.

Sprinkler Time

We finally got a warm sunny day! Carmen tried out her new sprinkler and loved it. Running in her new Little Mermaid swimsuit. (Thanks Aunt Janet & Casey) But, as you can see that didn't last too long. She was buck-naked real quick!! Oh to be a kid again. I hope the weather gets nicer so she can enjoy the sprinkler more! I remember all the fun I had as a kid in the sprinkler buck-naked and loving it!

Lions, & Tigers, & Bears....& Elephants & Monkeys....

We had a day at the zoo on Saturday. It was Mom & Me at the Zoo in Seattle so I decided to get a group together and go to the zoo. Joel was off shooting with a buddy of his and I wanted top do something fun. Macy's does Mom & Me at the Zoo every year for a fundraiser, so we went this year. We had a nice group and the kids (big & little) had allot of fun. The kids (all ages) were thoroughly worn out by the time the day was done but, allot of fun memories. Carmen loved the Gorillas and we got to see a baby riding on it's mom's back. Pretty cool. The male was sitting up with it's back to us and Carmen says" Mom, look that big monkey is showing his butt to us." She thought that was pretty funny. OH BOY.....
